63 Squares

I am pleased to report that I have only 2 more Ecru colored squares left on this afghan- and I will officially be 1/3 of the way through making my squares. The critical question is coming though...do I continue on with Ecru, making a solid color afghan OR stick with the 3 color combo that is used in the pattern? Any thought would be appreciated!

It also occured to me that there may be some readers out there who are not familiar with the whole 63 Squares CAT...so here is some more info

This book has been a wonderful reference beyond the actual afghan pattern. It was fairly inexpensive (I bought mine at Wal-mart) and I have used the stitches on a number of projects. One of the nicest features of the book is that each of the stitches has a starting chain count formula so that you can calculate how many chains to make if your are designing something yourself! Definately worth picking this one up!

  • Hi Courtney! I saw your blog link on CLCAT. I love your little "Proud to Crochet in Public" sign.... very cute! Kudo's to you for doing the 63 square afghan! I'm sure it will be lovely made all in Ecru! Congrats on your wedding anniversary too! I'm happy for you! I will be checking out all the links on your blog, thanks so much for sharing!
    Have a great day!

  • I think either way would be pretty. I would most likely go for the three-colors version though just because I like color. Congrats on your progress.
